SHANE FUHRMAN
Shane brings years of experience developing and operating a successful portfolio of boutique mountain properties, including The Wyman Hotel and The Rochester Hotel. He has helped set a new standard for luxury hospitality in remote destinations—hosting over 100 events and consistently delivering projected returns, even through the challenges of COVID.
Known for building high-performing teams and implementing scalable operational systems, Shane’s approach combines strategic foresight with an intuitive feel for place. He has developed an innovative hospitality model rooted in creating spaces where guests feel genuinely seen and welcomed—elevated experiences that honor the character of a place while exceeding the expectations of urban luxury travelers.
From 2020 to 2024, Shane served as Mayor of Silverton, Colorado guiding the town through complex development initiatives while fostering community trust and sustainable growth.
At Valea, he leads with that same clarity of vision—always asking how an experience can move someone.
HOLLIS CARTER
Hollis is the founder of Baby Bathwater Institute, a private, invite-only community known for hosting exclusive multi-day gatherings for entrepreneurs and creatives around the world. He has executed over 100 high-end events in both luxury and remote environments—mastering the art of logistics, atmosphere, and experience in even the most demanding locations.
A long-time Boulder resident with a deep connection to Gold Lake and the surrounding region, Hollis hosted ten sold-out events on the property, demonstrating its potential for elevated, intimate experiences.
Through his work, he has pioneered experience-driven hospitality models that go beyond the expected—fostering genuine connection, creativity, and lasting community among guests. His vast network of luxury hospitality and entertainment leaders brings fresh perspective, creative range, and rare access.
